This error comes because library is not present in /usr/lib.  The rpm which contains this file is libXp-1.0.0-8.i386.rpm.  It is present in the Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 DVD  in /server directory.  So copy this rpm from the DVD or CD and install it:

rpm -ivh libXp-1.0.0-8.i386.rpm

Once this is installed, confirm about the presence of the the file by this command:

$ ls -ld /usr/lib/
